What to Expect at a Private Pet Viewing
A gentle guide to saying goodbye in The Angel Area, our private viewing room in Townsville.

“It is a sacred opportunity to express your love one last time.”
When a beloved pet passes, many families feel a quiet pull to see them one more time. To stroke their fur, say the words that went unsaid, and leave with a peaceful final memory instead of a hurried one.
If you are thinking about a private pet viewing in Townsville, it is natural to wonder what it will actually be like. This guide walks you through a visit to The Angel Area at Pure Souls, from the moment you book to the moment you say goodbye, so you can arrive knowing exactly what to expect.

What Is The Angel Area?
The Angel Area is our dedicated room for private pet viewing in Townsville. It was created for one purpose: to give families a calm, unhurried space to be with their pet one last time.
- Glowing angel wings, softly illuminated
- Soft lighting and gentle music, adjusted to your wishes
- Candles, flowers and thoughtful details
- Complete privacy for the time you have booked

What to Bring With You
You do not need to bring anything to a private pet viewing. We prepare the space fully before you arrive. Some families like to add a personal touch, such as:
- Your pet’s bed, blanket or favourite toy
- A few of their favourite treats
- A framed photo for the tribute space
- A letter, poem or a few words you would like to say
Up to four family members are welcome. Children are welcome if the family feels it is right for them, and small pets on a leash may attend too.
Gentle Answers to Common Questions
Is a private viewing right for me?
There is no right or wrong choice. Some families find that a quiet moment together helps them accept the loss and leave with a peaceful final memory. Others prefer to remember their pet as they were at home. If you are unsure, our team is happy to talk it through with you, with no pressure either way. You can also read more about pet loss and grief.

Of course. Every family grieves differently. You are welcome to include cultural, spiritual or personal rituals, such as a prayer, a song, a poem or a moment of silence. Let us know beforehand and we will help prepare the space.
